Fresh scents and bright colours are set in the home by a new welcomed addition to the house.

I remembered that earlier on in my life I got fresh flowers sometimes from the occasional engagements or get well card, but I also remembered that flowers can be placed in the home as a decorative and seasonal enhancement to the home. I thought a bouquet looked like it just represented an occasion but I remembered depending on the vase and how you arrange them they can look very nice. I went to the grocery store and thought if I got flowers they would be expensive but I saw a small bouquet of tulips for $10.00. I bought a small vase shaped like a farming milk can with rope tassels from the dollar store for $3.00. I poured in water then took the tulips out of the wrapping paper and snipped the ends with scissors. I then arranged them in the flower vase and placed them on my computer desk. They lasted two weeks and didn't wilt before I filled up the water more. They just began to wilt after three weeks. During that time the room was much fresher with a lovely scent of fresh flowers and the the colours of red tulips brightened up the room. With the flowers there I noticed it didn't give off too much of a look like an occasion but elevated my mood for the month and looked very homey.

Hi, thanks for stopping by!

After university, for a medical course studying the nervous system, I ended up being bedridden in a manageable but life-changing hospital situation. I found myself needing to leave my busy life and appreciate taking time out to do the things I love like reading and writing. I learned to appreciate these things and came across the situation where I would love to blog about the small things that can make your day that much brighter especially when you take the time out for them.
