Taking in the cozy task with a peaceful atmosphere

I thought to myself recently that I could really use a really quiet and peaceful pastime to look forward to where there in a poimt where I can find the time to settle myself to focus on something very relaxing. I remembered that there was a time years ago when I picked up knitting but I didn’t think I still remembered and hadn’t tried knitting since I was a child. I had seen on an online store that there was yarn for $6 dollars and a knitting needle set for about $15 dollars but I had an old pair of needles from when I was younger and a couple balls of acrylic yarn intact as well.  I took the time during the evening of the next day to look up a lesson on youtube about something simple like knitting a scarf. Sure enough I found a short lesson took my yarn out to the chair and rec room as well as my phone and began to watch the video. I tried knitting the first part of the scarf and it was indeed a very repetitive and relaxing task. After about 10 min of trying to start the scarf I began to just continue trying to knit and got to building it a bit. Focusing on the knitting was relieving me of all distractions and relaxing my mind and body. I ended up doing a few rows and after about 30 min of trying to learn and knit despite that my efforts had no settled result of having a scarf a was very appreciative of how the time had past. I might not have shown interest over the years but I could tell that knitting was a good pastime to have in my life now.

Hi, thanks for stopping by!

After university, for a medical course studying the nervous system, I ended up being bedridden in a manageable but life-changing hospital situation. I found myself needing to leave my busy life and appreciate taking time out to do the things I love like reading and writing. I learned to appreciate these things and came across the situation where I would love to blog about the small things that can make your day that much brighter especially when you take the time out for them.
