Calm reflection and peaceful thoughts in a cozy part of the home

I've come to realize that I like to jot notes and write down to do lists. I like to organize my tasks in a notebook but I recently remembered a type of writing that was nice and simple to do but that I didn't take the time out for. It was journaling my thoughts. I knew that you could just freely write your thoughts and even place the date you wrote it at the top. I looked online at a business that literally sold journal books and l looked for a journal that was aesthetically pleasing to motivate me to write. I found one for around $20.00 and ordered it. I set a day where I woke up to an alarm in the morning and make a light espresso. I then came to my bed turned on the lamp for lighting in the morning and pulled out the pen and journal to write my thoughts down. As I began to write I noticed my nerves just began to calm down and a peaceful sensation like I could just breath more peacefully came over me. As my thoughts began to flow on paper it felt like a weight of daily tasks and hopeful ambitions were coming out and coming out on paper. I drank my coffee to slowly wake up to the morning while I wrote and eventually I realized I was peacefully enjoying the process of expressing myself on a page. after 15 min I closed the journal cover and I felt a huge relief that I could go through the day refreshed and more open to what the day had to bring. It was a very relaxing experience and much different from writing daily tasks and projects in my note books.

Hi, thanks for stopping by!

After university, for a medical course studying the nervous system, I ended up being bedridden in a manageable but life-changing hospital situation. I found myself needing to leave my busy life and appreciate taking time out to do the things I love like reading and writing. I learned to appreciate these things and came across the situation where I would love to blog about the small things that can make your day that much brighter especially when you take the time out for them.
